A man was slashed in the face by a fellow straphanger who wanted him to turn down his music on a Manhattan train, cops said.
The 22-year-old was riding a northbound 6 train at Grand Central around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday when a stranger asked him to lower the music that he was playing on his phone, according to cops and police sources.
The request sparked a clash between the two men — ending when the suspect slashed the rider with what appeared to be a razor blade, cops said.
The suspect bolted from the train at Grand Central, and the victim — who was with his girlfriend, got off at 51st Street, the next stop, police sources said.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The victim’s girlfriend recorded part of the confrontation, according to police sources.
The incident comes hours after one man slashed another with a boxcutter on an L train at 14th Street and 1st Avenue, also during a dispute, cops said.
Both suspects were still in the wind Thursday.
